Opening Performance
Opening Performance: Voices That Matter
Day 1 begins with a reflective opening performance that sets the tone for the conversation ahead.
More than a ceremonial start, it offers a moment of pause β€” reminding us that sustainability is not only about systems, metrics, and strategy, but also about dignity, belonging, and the future we are shaping together.
Through music and expression, the performance brings a human dimension into the room before the main provocation begins, inviting guests to listen with greater care to the lived realities that often sit beneath ESG language.
The performance is presented by refugee students in collaboration with students from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SLAS).

The Main Provocation
At the centre of Day 1 is a shared question: Are we solving the right problem?

Through dialogue and reflection, this experience invites leaders and changemakers to look beyond the surface of ESG and confront the deeper tensions in food systems, sustainability, and the choices we normalise every day.
