Waste War

A student-led sustainability movement tackling e-waste, food waste, and plastics through real campaigns and measurable impact.

Student-led initiatives turning sustainability into measurable action.

Waste War Campaigns

Taylor’s Education Group Sustainability Student Ambassador Programme.

Waste War is the flagship campaign platform under Next Gen, designed to move sustainability beyond awareness into action.

Each campaign is led by student project teams, supported by structured planning, execution, and reporting. Together, they address key waste challenges across campus — demonstrating how ESG can be implemented through ownership, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

From Awareness to Action

Sustainability often begins with awareness, but real impact comes from what follows. Waste War is designed to move beyond understanding into execution — where ideas are translated into measurable initiatives, and participation leads to tangible outcomes. It is through action, not intention alone, that meaningful change is created.

Student-Led

Waste War is driven by students who take ownership of campaigns, lead initiatives, and deliver real outcomes across campus.

Structured for Impact

Each campaign is designed with clear timelines, deliverables, and reporting, ensuring that sustainability efforts are accountable and measurable.

Built for Behaviour Change

Real sustainability is driven by everyday decisions — what we consume, what we discard, and the habits we form over time. Waste War is designed to influence these behaviours directly, turning awareness into repeated action. Students are at the centre of this shift. As a community that is highly engaged, socially connected, and open to change, they are uniquely positioned to influence peer behaviour and shape campus culture. By leading these initiatives, students do not just participate in sustainability — they normalise it.

Repurpose & Recreate

A creative campaign that invites students to transform leftover ingredients into new dishes, turning food waste into opportunity. The challenge encourages creativity while promoting conscious consumption habits.
